Please spread the information about this ministry to your family, friends, and co-workers in need!

Tuesdays ~ 11:15am - 1:00pm
Beginning July 31
Bring your lunch and join Pastor David as he leads the Brown Bag Book Club in a new book selection, ‘Romans 6: The New Man’ by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. In Romans chapter 6 the Apostle Paul takes up the issue of antinomianism - a dangerous perversion of the gospel’s teaching that has often troubled the church. The antinomian says, ’Ah, this gospel is a wonderful message of salvation by the free grace of God. Therefore, it doesn’t matter at all how you live as a believer; you are saved once and forever.’ The Apostle shows us why some people have misused the doctrine of the grace of God in that way, and explains why Christians - ‘the servants of righteousness’ - must not live in sin or let sin reign within. Call the Church Office to sign up. Cost for book: $15.00

Sunday, August 5
Children’s Church will be having their annual Step Up Meet and Greet right after church on Sunday, August 5, 2018 for the kindergarten families who will be moving up from the nursery to Children’s Church. During this meet and greet Children’s Church will explain what we do on a normal Sunday and explain our curriculum that we teach the children each week. It is a great time to meet the volunteers that are involved with the program and show our appreciation for all that they do for our children! A light snack and beverages will be served. Please contact Kristi Edwards at 847-370-7534 with any questions.

The mission of the Meals Ministry is to provide complete meals for those who attend CrossView Church after surgeries, illnesses, accidents, new births, or family losses. CVC families prepare and deliver hot meals to the family in need at no cost to the church. The goal is to meet the family's needs for meals while connecting them with Christians from our church during their time of transition or crisis. If you are in need or if you know someone that is, or if you can occasionally make a meal for someone in our church family, please contact the church office.

The CVC E-Prayer Chain is a ministry that serves others through the power of prayer. Prayer requests that come into the Church Office are, upon approval, released to a group of faithful servants via e-mail. This group of individuals is committed to praying for the requests that come in on a daily basis. These requests range from health concerns, relationships, spiritual issues, financial concerns, etc. for CVC attenders and families, and their broader network (neighbors, co-workers, relatives, etc.) If you would like to serve as an intercessor for your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus by having your name and email address added to our E-Prayer Chain, please contact the Church Office by phone (847-395-4117) or email at info@crossviewonline.org.

You may have heard that Facebook is going to show less from business pages and more from our friends and family. This means we will see less from pages whose updates we actually want to see. The new algorithm has been known to reduce interaction by 95%. Out of the almost 250 followers of the CVC page, only 30-some people are actually receiving the CrossView posts. So if you want to continue to receive news from the CVC FB page in your newsfeed, there are two things you can do:

  • Go to the CVC page and make sure you have "Following" checked. That's the basic to step to be seeing our posts at all. But also, it may be helpful to select "See First" under following.
  • Comment, like, and share. The more you do this, the more Facebook sees us as a "legitimate" page and the less likely we will be buried in invisibility with their new algorithms.

The 2nd Sunday of each month has been designated as ‘Baptism Sunday.’ If you have questions or are considering taking this next important step in your faith, please call the church office to make an appointment to meet with Pastor David or indicate your interest to be baptized on a Welcome Card and place in the offering plate.

If you have been considering becoming a member of CrossView Church, please contact the church office for an application which explains the process for becoming a member or you may contact Pastor David or an Elder with any questions.
