It has been wisely stated that we are known by the company we keep. This is not only a maxim that is experienced in life, but a principle that the Bible teaches as well.

So to understand a local church, it is a good idea to find out what it believes (especially about Jesus and the Bible), where it has come from (history and roots) and what kinds of affiliations it would refer to as friends.

To use another maxim, we strive to be an open book. We are not a secret society with back room meetings. We love the Lord Jesus Christ, and we love people.
