Thanks for checking us out. You have many options, your time is limited, and yet you care enough about the stuff that counts forever that you are investigating this site.
My prayer is that the God who knows your heart will give quiet assurance in His perfect direction for you and your family.A church exists for one primary reason: to connect people with God. (This is expressed more fully in our Vision and Mission.) When rightly connected with God significant and fulfilling life changes begin that enrich us and extend to others.
I once invited a mentally handicapped man along to see the Cubs play. He and his caretaker sister had lived in the same Northwest corner of Chicago for over forty years. With the mind of a 6-7 year old Roy followed the Cubbies with childlike exuberance either on WGN television or 720 AM radio, rarely missing a game. But Roy had never actually been to Wrigley field. We had box seats on the 3rd base side and went early to catch batting practice and maybe shag a ball. I was chattering and almost didn’t notice that Roy was several steps behind me. He had paused at the crest of the ramp opening where the field first comes into view. He was in wonder, mouth wide open, taking in the broad expanse of manicured lawn, ivy on brick walls, players seemingly larger than life… the taste from years on a TV screen had suddenly become life experience. One could say Roy was now connected. He would never watch baseball the same way again.
This terribly deficient analogy does render my point however. God invites us to come with childlike faith to experience a personal growing reality; a reality that insures our eternal place in heaven and a reality that enriches our lives in the here and now.I invite you to join us in this vital Christian experience.
